RPM & Speed Limits

All Mustangs are equipped with a rev-limiter that halves the fuel delivery of the fuel pump at 6100 rpm and then shuts it off completely at 6250 rpm. We can remove the rpm limit entirely or move it to wherever you want, or wherever your engine builder feels is the safe limit. Some vehicles, like the Cobra Mustang and Lightning, have a built in speed limiter. It is not severe but it does kick in at 95 mph and will slow the vehicle down overall. We can remove it entirely or put it wherever you want.

Regular production 5.0L Mustangs do not have a speed limiter at all. We can, if you like, put one in at almost any speed you desire.
