Aode
Settings
|
From 1994-present, all automatic
transmission-equipped Mustangs have
the AODE. This transmission is
controlled by the EEC. That means that
we now have full control over the
transmission via the EEC. We can
change the shift points as well as the
internal line pressures of the
transmission to suit your performance
and driving needs. This means the
transmission can be made to shift
harder and exactly at the torque peak
of the engine. At the track, this
means quicker 1/4 mile times and firm
shifts without ever having touched the
transmission. We can also delay the
lock-up point of the torque converter
at any load setting you specify.
Gear swaps in an AODE can pose a
potential problem with the stock EEC.
Because of internal programming in the
EEC, owners of automatic
transmission-equipped 1994 and newer
cars have been unable to use a
numerically higher gear than a 3.55
ratio. Since we can now change the
internal programming in the EEC, we
can fix this, so you can run whatever
gear ratio you desire. |
